Greensboro, NC – Picture Studios, a North Carolina network of photography studios, has tapped filmmaker Nachela Knox of GoGetHer Productions as the showrunner of a live “Makeup Battle” event in Greensboro, NC on October 28, 2022. The move comes roughly two months after the completion of “Coma Couch”, her first full-length feature film about a woman who is gifted a couch with a unique kind of magic.

“I am excited to be back in Greensboro to direct such a unique event like Makeup Battle,” says Nachela. “I studied theater at UNC Greensboro and look forward to bringing this concept from the screen to the stage.”

Makeup Battle is the ultimate contest of brains, beauty, and creativity. For the past three months, eight makeup artists have been competing in head-to-head skills competitions hosted by Picture Studios on YouTube. The top four artists advanced to the grand finale and will now team up with runway models during a fashion show. The winner of the competition will receive a $500 prize during the awards presentation which will feature music performances by Carolina Music Awards (CMA) nominees Rashaad King (R&B Male) and Jewels (R&B Female).
